The Bible says we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. There was only one perfect man to walk this earth because He was God and human all at once.
To be human, is to be broken. And out of that brokenness, sin springs up in our lives.
Pride, lies, resentments, selfishness…they all rise from a wounding in our heart that made way for a lie to take root there.
Sin is a symptom of the wound.
In our journey to be more like Jesus and move inside God’s will, our battle is not against our sin, but against the enemy and the wounds he has given us.
Accepting God’s grace and forgiving ourselves is the equivalent of cleaning out the wound. But God doesn’t sop there. He wants to heal the wound entirely.
The greatest weapons we have against sin are also the greatest tools God gave us for healing: confession and prayer.
Listen to the video to find out how God designed us to wield these tools of healing.
“We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” – Romans 3:22-23
