How Some Prayers Invite More Struggle

Have you ever thanked God for unanswered prayers?

As I get older, I realize just how painful my life could have been had I gotten what I asked God so desperately for in my moments of indulgence or loneliness.

Had I married a non-believer, or gotten a job that would have been eliminated only a few months later, who knows if I’d be anywhere near where I am today. The life of freedom and abundance I enjoy could have been sabotaged by my own short-sighted desires. Thank you God for saying “No!”

But God doesn’t always protect us from our selfish desires. Watch the video to discover how to pray in order to avoid sabotaging your journey toward life to the full!

“…You yourselves will become his slaves. When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.” But the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We want a king over us.”

The Lord answered, “Listen to them and give them a king.” – 1 Samuel 8: 17-19,22
