How To Listen To God

Recently, I’ve been asked the same question numerous times: “How do I hear from God?”

When I sat down and asked God for wisdom on my reply, He gave me so much material I felt He was telling me to start a blog series. Yup. A series.

Have you considered that your conversations with God will be the most important you’ll ever have in your life? If something is preventing you from hearing Him correctly, then the damaging ripple effects will go much further than just your day-to-day life. Those around you will suffer from your poor decisions as well.

And if God is calling you out of your comfort zone, missing that call may have serious repercussions. Could you imagine if Dr. Martin Luther King decided early on that listening to God was not important enough to pay close attention?

For the women who’ve asked me how to listen, there was a stirring inside them to hear from our creator and know that they are seen and cherished. This is healthy and the desire was put inside all of us by the Lord himself when he designed us.

Unfortunately, the media, education systems, even other Christians, can bog us down with so much misinformation, that we assume God doesn’t care or isn’t speaking.

Oh, but my friend, He definitely is. Your ear may not be attuned to His voice just yet.

And if you’ve been living in outright rebellion to the teaching in His word, hearing Him will take time and an effort to open your heart and repent.

I’ll walk you through this series with baby steps along the way. After watching the video, leave a comment and let us know about your listening experience this week.
